This backpack carrier by Kurgo has everything you could need for a day hike or longer travel excursion for you and your dog. The pet carrier compartment features a zip-open mesh top that rolls easily out of the way allowing your dog to stick his cute little face out and enjoy the scenery.
Suitable for dogs up to 25lbs, the G-Train has tons of zippered compartments and sleeves for your laptop, water bottle, leash, first aid kit, and anything else you need to bring along. The ergonomic design including hip belt and adjustable sternum strap allows for comfortable traveling even on longer trips.
If you're an avid hiker or just enjoy the great outdoors, but don't want to leave your dog behind, adding the Kurgo G-Train Dog Carrier Backpack to your gear is a no-brainer!
I live in NYC, it's always been my dream to be able to bike with my dog. He wanted nothing to do with the soft K9 backpack we tried, I found it next-to impossible to get him to climb inside. The Kurgo G-Train is the first backpack that my 23 lb terrier will tolerate.
First, I'll warn that it's a LOT of backpack-- somewhat bulky, not exactly lightweight. However, the bulkiness is part & parcel of what makes it so agreeable for my dog: it's a relatively-structured bag with a solid molded bottom, he feels secure in it. I can put him in it on a park bench (with his head sticking out the port hole), then strap it onto myself, while he calmly sits. With the soft backpacks, he just wants to extricate himself immediately, before I can manage to strap him onto my back.
Once the pack is on, it's very comfortable and secure-feeling. The adjustable straps are heavily padded, there's also a chest strap & waist strap.
Miraculously, my nervous dog just sits there like a champ, taking in the sights while we ride the NYC streets. There's an interior tether for peace-of-mind, but he's never shown any indication that he wants to jump out, thank god.
The bag is very nicely made, we've owned it for about three months and used it about two dozen times so far, it's still as solid as the day it arrived. I'm VERY happy with it, it's a life-changer to have the option of biking with my dog.
Thanks, Kurgo!
